AUSTIN, Texas — Central Texans have seen many businesses shutting down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting small businesses that might need a little help.
On Wednesday, KVUE stopped by RESTART CBD, a business owned by Austinite sisters Shayda and Sydney Torabi.
RESTART CBD has been in business officially for three years but has been using and making CBD from home since 2015. They started their business after Shayda was hit by a car, breaking her pelvis and nose. CBD was what helped her recovery and started them on their journey to owning RESTART CBD.
CBD is short for cannabidiol and is an active chemical compound that’s found in the cannabis plant. You get all the health benefits from cannabis without the high, according to the RESTART CBD website. You can read about CBD here.
The store offers many CBD products including oil, capsules, flower, topicals, edibles and even pet CBD products.
You can find RESTART CBD at 2521 Rutland Drive, Unit 150A, or online here.
When the COVID-19 pandemic caused them to close down their retail business, they began offering curbside options, which they will continue.
Sydney said they are known for their education, professionalism and high-quality products. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions you may have.
