Recent changes to the Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking Act (the “PACT Act”) by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (the “Appropriations Act”), a COVID-19 relief bill signed into law on December 27, 2020, will bar the US Postal Service (USPS) from delivering hemp vapor products directly to consumers as of April 26, 2021.
The USPS, and now FedEx, and UPS have all announced they will end shipping for electronic vaping devices and the related component parts to homes in the coming months of 2021. The vape shipping bans go into effect on the follow dates for each carrier:
•FedEx: March 1st, 2021
•UPS: April 5th, 2021
•USPS: April 26th, 2021 These limitations are not only in place for purely USPS services, but also hybrid services such as Mail Innovations or SurePost that use the USPS for last-mile delivery.
We have not figured out a work around at this time, and hemp vapor sales will be limited to local curbside pick up and retail after the above dates. Please contact our store if you have any questions 512-843-7223
