GUIDE

TIPS

9 Nine things you should know when buying CBD:

  • Some products contain THC and may not be legal in your state.
  • There are also a lot of poor quality CBD products on the market today due to a lack of regulation and heavily imported products.
  • Labeling is often inconsistent and unclear making it confusing.

Cannabinoid Content:

Basically CBD comes in 3 types and should be labeled properly.

The label should indicate a Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum or Isolate.

  • Full Spectrum product will include the “whole plant” and should show THC level as well as the CBD content.  It will also include the other cannabinoids such as CBC, CBG, CBD-V, CBN, CBDA and many others.  Full spectrum will also include terpenes, the  aromatic and flavorful components found in cannabis. They offer potential health benefits and additionally interact with cannabinoids.
  • Broad Spectrum product will usually include the whole plant without the THC.  Depending on who you ask or where they are from, some say that Broad Spectrum and Full Spectrum are one and the same. However, Full Spectrum will include the entire plan, and Broad Spectrum will be missing a few things, usually the THC.
  • Pure CBD Isolate product will have only one cannabinoid, CBD.  All other cannabinoids will be ND (non-detectable) including Zero THC.

These products are all called CBD oil. Just be mindful that there are different cannabinoid contents.

RESTART CBD uses Pure CBD Isolate in our “signature line” (Replenish, Recover, Relax and Repair) .  We also offer a full spectrum line which includes all of the cannabinoids found in hemp, including small traces of THC, as well, as a broad spectrum product called CBG Oil which has no THC.   …READ MORE

Cannabinoid Volume:

The label should always state the amount of CBD in the product.  If the label states, for example, 1000 mg of CBD, then that’s what should be in your product. Recently there were numerous products sampled by several news organizations.  Many of the products sampled were tested and had far less CBD than what was advertised on the label. Which is why lab testing is important.

You must know how the CBD oil is being extracted. There are some natural ways that are used to extract CBD from the hemp plant.  Ethanol and CO2 extraction are two methods that are most commonly used for extraction of CBD.  Supercritical CO2 extraction produces a much cleaner, healthier product.  So make sure that the retailer you are purchasing CBD from discloses the methods of extraction.  Never purchase a product that uses butane and propane for extractions.

RESTART CBD only use supercritical CO2 extraction.

The dosage quantity is measured in milligrams of CBD.  For CBD oils, usually one dropper is equal to 1 millimeter and the quantity of CBD in each dropper is determined by the total amount of CBD in milligrams per bottle.

Note: If a 1000mg bottle cost 50-80% off the price of another brand that has the same 1000mg’s, find out where the CBD comes from. Is it synthetic? How was it extracted? Does it contain pesticides?

CBD is measured in milligrams (mg). You can determine the amount of CBD per milliliter by dividing the strength by the bottle size.  For instance RESTART REPLENISH 600mg/30ml contains 20mg/ml. (600/30=20)

Finding the right dosage for you requires some trial and error to get the right amount for your body. With patience and practice, you should be able to get to that “relief point” in just a few days of working with it.

The hemp should be grown with effective and sustainable means.  You must watch out for the companies that are not able to tell you the material’s history as well as from where they have sourced it.

RESTART CBD products contain NO additives, flavorings, sweeteners or preservatives.  They are  mixed with organic fractionated coconut oil, MCT (medium-chain triglycerides).  That’s it1

Cannabinoids are fat soluble and are most effective when consumed with fat.  Coconut oil contains saturated fat which helps the body absorb the cannabinoid.  Using MCT oils allows for a relatively rapid release of cannabinoids compared to other oils.  MCT oils are also directly metabolized into energy allowing your body to burn those fats and put the cannabinoids they hold to use right away.

Another major question that needs to be answered is whether the company tests their products. Every flower and the final product must be tested for safety and legality by a certified testing facility.

The tests should be done to certify these major things:

Cannabinoid content. The concentration of CBD to make sure the CBD levels are 99% and higher. The concentration of THC in the product as it must be below 0.3% to be legal.

Toxic Pesticides. We test for elevated levels of common or problematic pesticides.

Microbials. This screening verifies that a product is free of harmful microbes: Yeast, Molds, E-coli, and Bacteria’s.

Heavy Metals: This screening verifies that metals are below the limit considered safe for human consumption.

At RESTART CBD, all of our oil is made from CBD that has been 3rd party lab tested for purity and potency.  We guarantee our potency.

CBD is legal in all 50 states if produced from industrialized hemp with less than .3% THC. READ MORE
